We came with another couple to stay for the week, and had ample space for both parties. The location was great and the rooms were beautifully maintained. We felt like we were not bothered by anyone and had privacy.
The Mallory is a a beautiful quiet location with a nice marina , two pools and beautiful grounds.
My only complaint is that the fold out couch in the one bedroom units that is advertised for 4 people is not "sleepable" for man nor beast. We had to rent a single bed and the shortest person drew the couch unfolded.
The size of the room/suite and the full kitchen.
The checking in time : from 4 to 5 PM
I loved the landscaping -- you felt buried deep in the jungle. Beautiful trees and brick pathways, a nice open air bar, little geckos scurrying about. The giant trees were highlighted at night with ground level green lights shooting upward, intensifying a jungle feeling. I also liked how the decor in the room was very"contemporary tropical" -- yes, there was the requisite tacky sea-faring printed bedspread but it was a luxury mattress. The kitchenette was very contemporary; flat screen TV, nice glass enclosure in the shower. It didn't feel like your grandma's cottage. However, it wasn't entirely kept in mint repair -- some holes in the bathroom wall, nicks in the white floor tiles. Still in all, much preferable to the usual frumpy hotel decor. Nice updated wicker and glass table on the patio and wide chairs. Plenty of pots and pans, iron, nice plates -- everything to ensure a nice stay.
The staff seems very unhappy -- not warm and friendly, but very flat and affectless. You must also agree to their strict rules, for example, you must gather your linens (and strip the bed) and leave them by the door upon departure. I didn't find this odious, however. Office is not open 24 hours.
It was easy to find.
Did not like that we had to strip the beds, leaving the linens by the door downstairs, empty all trash containers, fill the dishwasher with any used dishes, and have it started before we checked out at 10 am. If we did not do this, then there was a hefty fine. We only stayed two nights, not one week. I have stayed at many time share properties, but never have I had to strip the linens off the beds and bundle them by the door. There should have been a discount for Housekeeping services provided by us. This hotel is part of the Double Diamond and Interval Vacation System and it does not meet their standards.
We liked the room, the bar, and the pool. Also, the location.
The furniture in the room was very beautiful.
Very noisy, located between the airport and a very busy road. Staff not very kind.
Nice and peaceful area with Wifi and parking in front of the appartment. All commodities for a week stay.
The beds were not comfortable, a cockroach (cucaracha) entered in the toilet. For one night did not get the time to fully enjoy the place with a Check out at 10am - a bit early.
The rooms were very clean and spacecious. There were nice thick towels in the rooms. The balcony was nice. The kitchen was well equiped. The location with lots of palmtrees. The internet. the jacuizi.
They didn't serve coffee or food. The staff wasn't so friendly. For the pool they provide only two rediculous small and thin towels. The water of the pool was not heated. I found the resort quite pricy.
It was a quiet place, far enough from Duval street.Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were very comfortable
4:00pm check in time
Rooms were comfotable and quiet.
Location was inconvenient to downtown. Had to take car and parking is difficult.
The location and grounds are lovely. If one was staying a couple of weeks then it would be fine or perhaps better than fine.
How can you honestly call this a hotel, The first thing one has to do is spend an hour counting the linens and dishes-really! The check in time of after 4 pm is a joke, check out time by 10 AM-get more staff to do the very minimal cleaning needed, after all the customer is supposed to do the majority. My husband asked if we were "supposed to clean the toilets!' My reply-no, but there may be a $500 charge if you don't!!!!!!!!!!! That's a joke but close to the truth.
The room was beautiful, the staff friendly and accomodating, the view and grounds gorgeous. It's a little far from the action in Key West, so you do need a car. A Waffle House is easy walking distance and Kennedy's delivers great food cheap.
The distance is the only downside.
Beautifully landscaped courtyard, a lot of privacy, two very nice outdoor pools, outdoor bar/pub, I can't speak for all of the rooms, but ours was absolutely gorgeous, kitchenettes were definitely clutch!
It was a little far (3 or 4 miles) from the bars and attractions, but I think that may have helped add to the privacy level, everything else more than made up for it. Best hotel stay ever!
I liked everything about it. Easy check in. very friendly staff, rooms were very clean and confortable. Location was good too...I can't complaint at all.
My stay was too short, that's all ha-ha-ha
